Safer gambling for Springbok account holders
If gambling is costing you more money or time than you meant to spend, talk to the National Responsible Gambling Programme on 0800 006 008 (free, 24 hours a day) or WhatsApp 076 675 0710. Help is free and confidential. Springbok's own responsible gaming page says its support team will set deposit limits or a self-exclusion when you ask.
Limits and self-exclusion at Springbok
Springbok's responsible gaming page describes two tools: a self-exclusion for a period you choose, at least one month, and a daily or monthly deposit limit. Both are arranged by contacting Springbok. Verified · 9 October 2026 Neither is a switch in the account settings, so ask in writing and keep the reply.
- 1
Pick your limit
Choose a daily or monthly deposit amount you could lose without it hurting, or decide how long a break you want.
- 2
Contact Springbok support
Use live chat on the website or in the lobby, or email help@springbokcasino.co.za. Say plainly that you want a deposit limit or a self-exclusion, and for how long.

- 3
Get it confirmed
Ask for written confirmation, then check that the cashier respects the limit before you play again.
- 4
Tell someone you trust
A break is easier to keep when someone close to you knows about it.
Make the break stick
A self-exclusion works best with a few changes on your side too: log out on every device, delete saved passwords and lobby bookmarks, unsubscribe from Springbok's emails, and ask your bank whether it can stop card payments to gambling sites.
Signs it is time to stop
- You chase losses, or deposit again straight after a withdrawal.
- You spend more time or money than you planned, more often than not.
- You borrow, sell things or skip bills to keep playing.
- You hide your play from family, or feel restless when you cannot play.
- You gamble to escape stress or to fix a money problem.
If any of these sound familiar, you do not need to wait until it feels serious. A call to the helpline is free and nobody will judge you.

A simple budget for play
Treat casino play as a night out with a price tag, not as a way to make money. A budget set before you log in is the one most likely to hold.
- Start from what is left. Take your monthly income, subtract rent, food, transport, debt repayments and savings. Only part of what remains is play money.
- Fix a monthly amount, then split it by session. If you play four times a month, each session gets a quarter. When a session's share is gone, the session is over, win or lose.
- Let the cashier hold the line. Ask Springbok's support team to set the same monthly figure as a deposit limit, so the cashier enforces it for you.
- No top-ups mid-session. A second deposit on the same day is the moment a budget usually breaks. Log out instead.
- Review it monthly. If you went over twice in a row, lower the limit or take a break.
If keeping to a budget feels impossible, that is a sign to talk to someone: the NRGP line on 0800 006 008 is free, and family members can call too.
Account habits that keep play in check
- Set your deposit limit before the first deposit, not after a bad session.
- Log out when you finish, especially on a shared phone; the phone login guide covers shared and borrowed handsets.
- Read the playthrough before you take a bonus: wagering can keep you playing far longer than you planned. Depositing with and without a bonus sets the two side by side.
- Withdraw money you want to keep instead of leaving it in the balance.
- Never deposit with credit or borrowed money.
